In building materials, the addition amount of HPMC is very low, only 0.1%-1%, but it plays an irreplaceable role and can significantly improve the water retention, fluidity and lubricity of building materials. Building materials added with construction grade HPMC are easier to mix and use, improve the work efficiency of construction workers, extend the open time, improve the bonding strength, and form a smooth and delicate surface coating.

The cement mortar on the back of the tile is very even, why does the whole tile come off? Next, the HPMC supplier will share types of wall tiles with you.

Glazed tiles vs Polished tiles

First of all, the material, whether it is home or work, wall tiles are generally divided into two types by texture: glazed tiles and polished tiles. Both have different textures and different construction techniques. As the name implies, glazed tiles are coated with a layer of glaze on the bottom of the blank.

The bottom of the blank can be a porcelain body or a ceramic body. Ceramic bodies need to be immersed in water. Polished tile body is porcelain body with machine polished surface. With high density and water absorption ≤ 0.5%, water immersion is not required for construction.

Glazed tiles

For glazed tiles, either the degree of immersion is not appropriate or there is dust on the back of the tiles. Soak water is too light, cement paste can not be completely immersed in the brick substrate, premature lack of water absorption dry, solidification is not strong. Too much water is not enough, the brick moisture easily formed when the water layer, adhesion is not strong.

There is another situation that needs your attention, that is the back dust. This situation generally occurs in the corner, mainly when workers first soak tiles and then chamfering, dust will stick to the back of the tiles, condensation, the tiles are easy to fall off. A similar situation occurs in every large project.

Polished tiles

Polished tiles are porcelain, no need to soak, but the cement paste will not penetrate into the tile base, adhesion is not enough. Therefore, polished tiles generally require tile adhesives to increase the adhesion between the tiles and the cement mortar.

Many people find that the tiles are not flat after tiling, the second knocking will flatten, which will lead to the loss of some water mortar loosening.

General wall tile is 1:2, that is, 1 part cement, 2 parts sand, mix well and then paste. In many cases, there is no accurate control, 1:4, 1:6 paste up, very unstable. At that time it seems to be pasted, but it is easy to fall off after a long time. This is not the quality of tile paste!

The wall base is not sufficiently wetted before paving, resulting in cement mortar and tile body moisture is absorbed. Mortar in the setting time is not enough moisture to fully bond the tiles. Before paving, watering in the base, humidity control at 30-70%.

Tile is a ceramic product made of natural clay, will expand and contract with the temperature. Tiles do not leave joints, tiles will squeeze each other. Generally have to leave 1 ~ 2mm joints, just like the concrete pavement must be cut to leave joints. If you want to know about the wholesale best construction grade HPMC price, welcome to contact us.
