Putty Powder

HPMC For Exterior Wall Putty

Wall putty, also known as putty coating, is a decorative and functional smoothing material used for indoor or outdoor wall construction. It is used to hide or remove blemishes or defects on the surface of the wall substrate to make it smooth in appearance.

Product Details

HPMC can effectively prevent the putty powder from falling off and cracking during use, because HPMC can enhance the internal bonding force of the putty powder, improve the adhesion and stability of the putty powder, thereby reducing the cracking problem caused by too fast evaporation of water.

HPMC can increase the viscosity of the putty powder, maintain the uniformity and stability of the putty powder, and prevent the occurrence of sagging. At the same time, it can also improve the water retention of the putty powder, making the putty powder easier to handle and apply during construction.

Exterior wall putty is one of the largest application areas of our Haoshuo cellulose products. Good additives HPMC, HEC and MHEC can help wall putty last for a long time without cracking and aging. We have developed different grades of products with various properties to meet the needs of all customers. We also provide customized formulations to provide you with the best products for specific raw materials and special local requirements.

FAQ

  • What is the main use of 1-Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC)?

HPMC is widely used in industries such as construction materials, coatings, synthetic resins, ceramics, pharmaceuticals, food, textiles, agriculture, cosmetics, and tobacco. HPMC can be classified into architectural grade, food grade, and pharmaceutical grade based on its application. Currently, most domestically produced HPMC falls under the architectural grade category. In the architectural grade, a large amount of HPMC is used in putty powder, accounting for approximately 90% of its usage, while the rest is used in cement mortar and adhesives.
